Biografia

Giuseppe Galli born in Rome in 1964 he still lives and works in Italy’s capital city.He received his High School diploma from the Istituto di Stato per la Cinematografia e la Televisione (School for Cinema and Television) specialised in graphic advertising, scenery design and animator. Since his early childhood days he has had a passion for painting. He began exhibiting his work at “La Tartaruga” gallery in Rome in small format thematic displays and at “Il Canovaccio” gallery where he put on show his paintings illustrating the building work taking place in Rome for the Jubilee (1999-2000). At this gallery he went on to win the Antonio Canova International Award. In 2001 he was selected by a panel of experts as one of the ten finalists chosen from over two thousand entries in the eighth edition of the “Premio Arte” the renowned competition held by the Giorgio Mondadori Publishers. He has had many personal exhibitions in Rome, the latest being: “In and Around Building Sites” at the “Terrazza Barberini”, and “Metropolitan Entropy” at “Il Canovaccio” gallery, formally the “Canova Studio”. As one a founder of the Gruppo 7 he has had taken part in collected shows.
